Golf Best Ball is a fun, team-based golf format where pairs are matched by age and handicap, and each team is identified by a number marked on their balls. Points are earned on each hole: 1 point for the longest drive (on the fairway), 2 points for being first on the green, 3 points for the ball closest to the hole, and 4 points for sinking a first putt. Players must mark their ball within one club length.
A tee twirl decides which team starts the front nine, with the other team taking honors on the back nine. Teams track points, scores, and Mulligans on a shared scorecard, and the team with the most points wins. Tiebreakers go to the team with fewer Mulligans, then the better score. All scorecards must be signed by a captain.
Try it for yourself—it's a fresh and competitive twist on traditional golf.
